We Finally (Really) Made a Decision

Just in case anyone out there is wondering what we are going to do-- we have made a decision. This has been the hardest choice we have ever made. After at least 6 weeks of going back and forth every other day, seriously, one day- we are staying here, 2 days later, we are moving to Georgia and thinking about all the pros and cons of both sides of the situation- we have decided to stay here. I can't really explain why, except for things at Matt's work, worked out in the right ways and I don't know if that is what I want, but I know it is the right thing for our family right now. I guess that is how life goes, sometimes you feel that you should do a certain thing and aren't sure why, especially when either choice is equally good and inviting, but you pray and think and follow the promptings and act on the feelings that you get. So, I guess those family members and friends that live close can rejoice and those that live far, we promise to come and visit as soon as we can (especially since Ryanne has started asking to see Papa Frank again :)

Congratulations on a tough decision! Those kind of situations are so hard and you always wonder if you're doing the right thing but you have to just go with your gut feeling. Last year in Athens, we were under contract to buy this super cute house there and basically all that was left was signing on the dotted line and I all of the sudden got a terrible feeling that we shouldn't buy the house, even though it meant we would lose $1000. It was such a hard thing for me to do and then move here to this small, dumpy town but I guess sometimes we're just supposed to do things and we won't always know why until years later or maybe never... We just have faith right, that things will work out. Anyway, that was long!

I love those pictures of Ry in the mud. Some of my favorite childhood memories are making mud pies. Why can't everyone you love just live in the same place and never move?

Jeff and I had a really hard time when we decided to move. It was the same way both options would have been fine. I still miss a lot of things, but overall I think we made the right decision. Glad you will be closer, if we can just get together now.

Well, I am glad you have made the decision. Obviously, it was not the one I was hoping for, but I am hoping you may reconsider again in a year or so. Tyler talks about Jonah alot now. I hope we will get to see you at christmas.
