Alphabet Days

We are starting Alphabet Days again. I did this a couple of years ago for the first time when I really wanted Jonah to learn his Abc's and so we spent one day on each letter. We wrote the letter on our dry erase board, along with all the words we could think of that started with that letter. We cooked and baked dishes that started with that letter and tried to do activities that started with the letter of the day. We also made an ABC book, I used a pre-made craft book, with a foam cover, and we stamped a capital and lower case of each letter, as well as put as many stickers as we could that started with each letter. (I think I bought every sheet of stickers possible) It was so fun and I think it really helped him learn his letters and helped him become more interested in writing. We are doing it again, because it is a fun summer activity and gives the kids (and me!) something to look forward too. I especially enjoy the cooking and baking aspect and it is just fun. This time we are doing it mainly for Ry, but we will all enjoy it I am sure. To see the activities for A day, check it out below.

such good ideas, i told my sis about it since she has such varying ages of children. hard to keep them all happy with an activity. also, what did you do with artchokes for dinner, i love them, but don't ever cook them b/c i don't know how
