Our Mayan Adventure

Jonah and Ryanne by the Jaguar Stone

Grandma Becky outside, after our adventure

Since Papa Frank and Grandma Becky were going to miss Jonah's birthday by 1 week, we
thought we would take them out to lunch and have some fun. We decided to go to The Mayan
None of us had ever been there before, so it really was an adventure. We had to wait for about 40 minutes, but there are so many things to look at in the waiting area that it didn't really matter.

We finally sat down and had a seat right by the diving pool and also the path that led up to the upper levels. If you have been there, you probably know what I am talking about. If not, try to imagine a rainforest looking atmosphere, with multiple seating levels, a large cliff wall, and a pool of water at the bottom of the cliff. A young warrior man started to roam the restaurant and we ordered our food. Then, the show started. Loud music, clapping, waterfalls, and crazy men jumping off the cliffs into the water. Pretty entertaining, I must say. We had a fun time and as we were leaving Jonah asked "can we come here again?" Once we made it back into the car he said "can we go here tomorrow?" That is when I decided that this adventure would be a special one that we wound share with Papa and Grandma, so I told him we could go back the next time they came to visit us!

P.S. did I un-invite you as a reader? If I did, I didn't mean to. Let me know.

How fun! We haven't been there for a few years. Is the food any good? It's so worth the atmosphere for the kids, it's like they are at Disneyland.
