A couple of weeks ago, Matt got a call from his former boss, Kurt. He had an opening at his clinic and wanted Matt to come back and work with him.

We thought about it and prayed and thought about it some more.

Matt really enjoys his job out here. He is doing what he wanted to do. But he is gone every night of the week, works every Saturday and we hardly ever see him. He doesn't get paid great money and works way more hours than he gets credit for.

I love being around my parents and siblings, old and new friends.

I love being able to walk to church.

I love being able to walk to Jonah's school.

There are lots of good things about living here.

But, we are moving back to Georgia.

The job offer was too good to not take it. Matt is going to be getting a raise, won't have to work any Saturdays and will be home every night.

We will be surrounded by trees, make more new friends and see our old friends. We will get to see our cousins more.

I just wish it was easier to get from here to there or there to here!!!!

Matt will be heading out there in March and the rest of us will follow at the end of May, when school is out.

I am excited because I truly love living in Georgia but I will miss people and things here too!

:( You are leaving! I will miss you. But I know you have to do what you feel is right and go wherever the Lord may direct you.

Personally, I am thrilled..just thrilled! I realize it was a tough decision. I know you will love it here in Georgia, too. I've heard a lot of testimonials from others who cane and wanted to stay. Someone once told me that home was where your family is (I know. I know!). They were talking about their spouse and children. We will just have to get the rest of your family out here, too!! We will just save our money (leftover!!!???) and still visit in Utah. Besides, Tessa has to graduate sometime, doesn't she?
This was a really BRIGHT spot in my day yesterday when I heard of the move. I can hardly wait to see all of you..and to get to know Savannah better. We will have to get busy on our horse stable (Play) and proposed tree house. We will actually have more children to play!! Tyler said we should build the tree house "in the woods". And so we will, exactly where the boys had done theirs many years ago.
I will have some happy news for Relief Society on Sunday!!!
I love you all dearly. We will look forward to Matt's arrival in early March and all of you in June. Yippee!!!Yippee!!!
Mare, We will just have to plan a big birthday party for Mother this summer...You'll be able to make suggestions for food, food, food!

NOOOO!!!!! This is totally unacceptable! C'mon, winter's almost over.... Alright, I am a little happy for you because I know you've missed Georgia and it sounds like an awesome opportunity. But we will surely miss you!

What in the world? Um, I think you're not allowed to leave because I just barely got a visiting teacher that actually came and it was you! You can't leave now that I'm finally friends with a famous chef blogger? No, no, this is just completely unacceptable. There has been no karoake party either I believe. Besides the fact that we never read A Thousand Splendid Suns. See? Did I convince you to stay yet?? You will be missed!

We are waiting to hear back from a job that would put us in exactly the same boat. I hope your move goes well. Maybe you could drive through Missouri and visit us. :)

That's awesome Mary Ann! What a hard decision. I love Athens more than anything. Are you guys planning to buy a house and stay for a while?

WOW! People are loosing jobs and he's got 2! He must be in the right field! That's a bummer even though I only see you at Book Club, but I know you love Georgia and it seems like an offer too good not to take. Good luck!

well darn it. We never got together. I came to your blog to ask a question and saw this sad news. Well here is my question. I love Italian food but I don't cook a lot of it. Are there cooking classes somewhere near Provo that teach cooking. Really any type of food is fine. I need to do something for me and but this would also benefit the family so I think I need to do it! Where do I look? Where can I go? I am at a loss for where to start.

Mare, I think you've made a tough, but wise decision! Now we HAVE to get together!!! Sometimes we just have to do hard things. It will be a blessing to have Matt home more. I'm jealous. Georgia sounds beautiful!

Well I'm happy you'll be closer to me, but sad you won't be at moms when we go visit. It will all be good though. We are lead to so many places in our lives. We just have to enjoy each spot and make the most of each moment in time! I am glad that you'll be able to see Matt more though. That will be a real blessing!
