Fun Football and Fondant Cakes

I was going to wait a few days to post these cakes that I have made the last 2 days, but I was excited about them, so here they are. My little brother's friend wanted a cake, so this is what I came up with. Yellow Cake with Chocolate Buttercream

This is my first full cake covered in fondant and I am really happy about how it turned out. It was really fun to think of the colors and design and I actually got paid for this one. I went with Bill's Big Carrot Cake because it is a yummy, but sturdy cake and had a blast decorating cakes these past 2 days!

Jacob got the scraps of the carrot cake that I somehow stacked and frosted and made a shape, so I covered it in fondant too and did a little decorating just for fun.

Super cute I almost attempted a Fondant cake for one of Madie's Birthdays. I bought the fondant opened the package and chickened out. Great job. We are doing well, summer just feels so crazy this year, so much to do so little time and the kids are together too much I think (fighting has increased) the heat probably doesn't help. We have to get together sometime :) Amelia started a blog it is the Seamon's family on my links check it out she has two cute little ones.

Sweet! You are a master with fondant! I just tried to make a cake cover for Holly and it turned out rather sad...but she loved it anyway!

I'm so happy to see you here! Your blog looks great and those cute kids of yours just keep getting cuter.

I noticed you read Bhutto's biography. I have been thinking about reading her book. What did you think? Would you recommend it?

Your fondant covered carrot cake looks awesome. I have wanted to try it for a long time but have been afraid to try it. Is the carrot cake sturdy enough for fondant?
