On Saturday we had a get together with Matt's old roommates, Jeff, Brian, and Rex. We all met up at Rex and Allycia's beautiful house. It was a lot of fun. They have a beautiful house and yard, with lots of space and fun things to do. It was a perfect fall day.
It was really fun because our kids are all around the same ages, so they had an absolute blast playing together.
Plus, they had 2 very friendly dogs and that made all the kids happy.
We had a big fire, roasted some hot dogs for the kids, the adults got to eat low country boil and we all just caught up on each other's lives.
The kids were given the job of spreading out this bale of hay for the hayride that we were going to take later that night. They all got a little distracted and had tons of fun playing in the hay.
Matt and Jeff built us a nice fire. The best thing about it was the fact that there wasn't very much wind, so the smoke was not changing directions and getting us all smothered in smoke. Most of the day/night the smoke was just going straight up and away. Yay! (I despise smelling like fire and smoke!)
Ryanne was pretending to be a cat and trying to catch the chickens. Luckily, they were safe from her in their coop.
Later that night, everyone loaded up for the hayride. Tons of fun!
After the hayride some people elected to go inside and watch the Georgia game (no further comments about that.)
The rest of us stayed outside and watched the kids play and we ended up roasted some marshmallows.
Fun, fun, fun! We are lucky to have such great friends. It is so much fun to get together and have our kids all play together. Great weekend.

That really does look like the perfect fall day! I just wanted to snuggle down into that picture of the hayride, the hay kinda looked soft!
