This summer I was lucky enough to get back in touch with a good friend of mine that I met my freshman year of college. She and her husband moved to Georgia for the summer and we have been getting together at least weekly for the past 2 months. Our kids have never met before this summer, but they get have become fast friends and they really enjoy spending time with one another. It is so, so, so much fun!
We traded a couple of kids and had an all-girl party for a couple of days- complete with sleepovers, yummy treats, lots of water fun, movies, and more. I love their expressive faces.
They could've stayed outside all day long making mud pies for me,
eating carrots we pulled from the garden,
posing on the outdoor equipment,
and just cheesing it up for the camera. I am so thankful for good, kind, loving friends.
The girls had been begging for an "all day all makeup" day, so I let them have it all on a recent Saturday.
We went to an unnamed place before heading to Stone Mountain to meet up with our friends for a fun day of hiking, laser show and more.
Here are all the kids together
Cutest little boy that I can't get enough of!
Bigger boy that I still can't get enough of!
We rode the train around Stone Mountain for the first time and got some great faces for the camera in the process.
We hiked to the top of Stone Mountain again, but this time it was so pleasant. It was a cooler day and there was almost no humidity. It was soo nice.
All of the kids made it to the top with happy faces!
then some of them turned to not so happy faces- (too many pictures being taken, I'm sure)
Then we settled in for the Laser show which never disappoints.
Excuse my feet- I had to cover them with a star, but here is my buddy trying to avoid the camera. If only you could see his smile.
And here is our youngest spectator, eagerly awaiting the music and fireworks!
