So.... what now?

Every once in awhile, I shock myself and post a picture of me on my blog. Crazy, I know.
Just wanted Matt to know that I love the hot pink t-shirt he brought me last time he came to visit. That reminds me- I packed all of our clothes and I don't think I actually left out enough stuff to get us through the next week. We shall see.
Andrew helped me take all of the boxes that I packed to our storage unit today. I guess that means we are really moving. It just doesn't seem possible that we have lived in Utah for 2 whole years. Time goes by way too fast.
Tomorrow I am going to be baking up a storm. There are a couple of things I have to get out of the way before my main food fans are no longer close by. (Andrew and Jacob!!!!!)
We are all going to the airport to pick Matt up on Saturday night. Then, Matt and I are going to pack our stuff into the truck and the next day, stuff as much junk as we can in our car and start out on our little driving adventure. I wonder if it will feel familiar since we did this same move almost exactly 2 years ago?
We are going on a different route this time. We are going to hit the Grand Canyon, visit my grandma in Albuquerque and then keep on going, through Oklahoma, til we get to Memphis and then we will almost be there. The kids are older, so hopefully they won't cry and scream the whole, entire time.
The best thing is that we get to travel together, instead of Matt driving the U-haul and me following him, at a snails pace, all the way there.

I am excited, but sad.
I can't wait to see my old friends and our family, but at the same time, I am going to miss all the people that I have become close to here. Plus, my family is here and I don't know when I will get to see them all again.
Why can't everyone I love just live in the same place as me?
It would make everything so much easier.
ok- I feel like I am rambling so I am going to stop.
But, first I have to share the adventures in playdough that we had today.
My mom helped the girls make little people and beds out of playdough and then Savannah was telling me all about how kids should sleep. It was quite funny. Notice the little baby that is connected to the daddy. That means that they have to stay together at all times, especially at night. That actually explains why Savannah has to sleep with me every single night. Maybe she thinks she is still a baby..........

This is the mommy hugging Jonah so he can go to bed.

Sleep tight everyone.

Liberty Park

Last week we took a little trip to Liberty Park. Unfortunately, the day we chose was a little bit chilly, but we still had a blast. I guess Savannah has never been around geese or ducks before (we used to live by a lake and had a park really close that had tons of geese, but she was too small to remember). The other kids were not as mesmorized as Savannah was. She wouldn't stop chasing them. I was afraid she was going to fall in the muddly water. She didn't even care about her fries that were sitting on the picnic table getting cold.

I also had to take some pictures of my girly girl in her 12 month fairy costume. If she isn't wearing this, she has to be wearing a dress of some kind. Maybe they are comfortable?

Mother's Day Tea Party

I saw this idea for a Mother's Day Tea Party in Family Fun Magazine a couple of weeks ago and decided we were going to go for it.
My mom and Whitney spent the morning getting ready for our crafts and decorating for our party. We made sure it was "girls only" and the boys would be somewhere else during the party. I spent the day in the kitchen making all the yummy treats.
We started out with everyone making their own beautiful wrapping paper hat and fans- notice all our beautiful models.

Gabrielle and her daughter Nicole were the most inventive when it came to the hat-making. Aren't their creations cute?

Then we all sat down and enjoyed our delicious treats- petit fours, tea sandwiches, lemon scones, and strawberry lemonade. You can get the recipes HERE.
After the food, we played some games and enjoyed each other's company. We were lucky enough to have my grandma Sanona there for the party. Yay for Mothers and daughters, family and friends, and yippie for women and girls!

Happy Mother's Day!!
